ORLIXS

The questions people
actually ask.

If yours isn't here, book a call and ask it. We'd rather answer it now than have you find out afterwards.

General.

What you get, what it costs, how it works, and what happens when something goes wrong.

What you actually get

8 questions
8 questions
  • What does ORLIXS do?

We make sure the people trying to reach you actually get through. We answer your phone day and night, answer messages on your website, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and text, and keep your Google listing right and reviewed.

  • Where should I start?

The phone, almost always. It's where the money's going, and it's the one that pays for itself fastest. The other two are worth adding once that's sorted.

  • Do I have to take all three?

No. Each works on its own and nothing needs anything else first. Taking more than one costs less, $100 a month off for two and $150 off for all three, but that's a discount, not a package you're pushed into.

  • Is my business the right size?

We work with businesses of about two to fifty people. What matters isn't how many staff you have, it's how many calls and messages are going unanswered.

  • How do I know if I'm missing enough for this to be worth it?

That's what the free call is for. It isn't about how many calls you get, it's about how many you don't answer. Twenty a week with half missed is a bigger problem than a hundred a week all answered.

  • Is this actually right for my business?

Sometimes it isn't. If you're not missing enough calls, or the ones coming in are already being answered, we'll say so on the free call and we won't send a proposal. We'd rather lose the sale than have you cancel in four months.

  • Do I need to learn anything?

No. There's nothing to log into and nothing to keep on top of. We build it, run it and look after it.

  • Will I know what's happening?

Yes. A written summary of every call arrives where you already work: your customer records if you keep them, or your email and phone if you don't. Once a month we send a short note about what we heard and what we changed.

The money

8 questions
8 questions
  • What does it cost?

The phone is $599 a month with 1,000 talking minutes, or $899 with 2,000, and every feature is in both. Messages and your Google listing are $299 a month each.

  • Is there a setup fee?

$350, once, and it covers the phone and messages together, not $350 each. Google is $200. Take messages alongside the phone and setting it up is free.

  • When does the monthly fee start?

The day it goes live, not the day you pay to set it up. You never pay for something you can't use yet.

  • What if I go over my minutes?

$0.35 a minute. There's no penalty rate, and we tell you before it becomes a habit rather than after.

  • Is there a contract?

No, and no minimum term. To stop, give us thirty days' notice. That's notice, not a contract, and there's no fee.

  • Can I get a refund if I change my mind?

No, but you also can't get stuck. There's no contract, you keep your number, your records and your Google listing, and thirty days ends it. You'll also have heard it and approved every word before it went live, so nothing about it should surprise you.

  • How do I know it's worth $599?

One customer you'd otherwise have missed usually covers the month. If a customer is worth less than that to you, say so on the call and we'll tell you honestly whether this makes sense.

  • What if I have more than one location?

We handle it. The phone is full price for the first location and less for each one after, priced on the free call. Google is $299 per location, because each listing is separate work every month.

How it works

4 questions
4 questions
  • Is it a computer?

Yes. It's built from your real information, it only answers from that, and it gets tested hard before it goes live.

  • Can it make up a price or promise something I can't do?

It's built to say only what you gave it and to offer only times your calendar actually has. If it isn't sure, it takes a message.

  • Did you build this yourselves?

We build your system: the answers, the conversation, the rules, the connections, the testing and the tuning afterwards. That's the part that decides whether it works. Like most software companies, we don't publish who our suppliers are.

  • Is it secure enough for my business?

It's built on independently security-checked systems, sensitive personal details can be stripped out of stored records, and things are kept as long as your policy says rather than ours. If you work somewhere with particular rules about customer information, tell us before you sign up and we'll tell you honestly whether we can meet them.

Setting it up

5 questions
5 questions
  • How long does setting it up take?

About a week from yes to live, once we've got what we need. Waiting on your answers is almost always the slow part, not the building. Texts need carrier approval first, which usually takes two to three weeks.

  • Do I get to hear it before it goes live?

Yes. You approve every word of it, then you call it yourself and try to catch it out, and nothing goes live until you've said yes. If it says something you don't like, we change it and you try again.

  • What do you need from me?

Your services, prices, hours and booking rules, what you want to find out from callers, what you turn away, and what must always reach a person. Then one conversation about the things people always ask that aren't written down anywhere.

  • What if I don't have an online calendar?

We set one up as part of setting it up, and every booking gets texted to you anyway, so it's in your pocket either way.

  • What if I don't keep customer records anywhere?

You don't need to. Everything arrives by email and text instead.

When things go wrong

3 questions
3 questions
  • Can I change what it says after it's live?

Yes, free, the same day or the next. New price, new service, different hours: message us and it's done, with no ticket to raise and no release to wait for.

  • What if your system goes down?

Your number is always yours, because we forward calls and never take the number over. There are backups underneath, so if one part fails, a backup takes over, usually without the caller noticing. We watch it, and we tell you what happened rather than quietly patching it.

  • Can people stop the text messages?

Yes. Every text sequence lets people opt out, and follow-ups stop when someone books, replies or asks you to stop.

By service.

AI Call Answering Agent

11 questions
11 questions
  • Will it sound like a robot?

No. It's a natural voice at a natural pace, and it doesn't read scripts at people. Anyone who asks is told straight away that it's a computer.

  • What if someone asks whether they're talking to a real person?

It's set to tell them it's a computer as soon as they ask, without dodging. We won't build one that doesn't.

  • How many calls can it take at once?

Several at once, so callers don't get a busy tone. Several conversations run at the same time with no queue, which is the one thing a single receptionist can never do.

  • Do I have to change my phone number?

No. We forward the one you have and never move it. Whatever happens between us, you change one setting and your phone rings as it always did.

  • Can I still answer calls myself?

Yes, and most people do. Set it to pick up only after a few rings, only outside your hours, or only when you're already on the phone.

  • What happens to a call it can't handle?

It says so, takes a proper message with their name, number and what they actually wanted, and tells them when someone will get back to them. You get it straight away, and we add the missing answer so it doesn't happen twice.

  • What if someone's angry?

It stays calm, doesn't argue, and puts them through to a person as fast as your rules allow.

  • Can it take payments?

No. It's set never to ask for card details and to refuse them if they're offered.

  • Are calls recorded?

They can be, with the notice required where you operate. Whether calls are recorded, and how long anything is kept, is agreed with you before it goes live.

  • How do I know it's working?

You get a written summary of every call. Once a month we also send a short note on what we heard on real calls and what we changed.

  • Does it speak Spanish?

Yes. It speaks English and Spanish, switches to whichever the caller uses, and your call summaries arrive in English.

AI Messaging Agent

12 questions
12 questions
  • How is this different from the chat boxes I already hate?

Those match keywords and offer you buttons. This reads the question and answers it, using your real prices and rules rather than marketing copy.

  • Can it work on WhatsApp and Instagram, not just my website?

Yes. Website, WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook, Telegram and text, plus Slack and Teams for your own staff. One agent, one place to look.

  • What if I don't have a website?

It still works, because WhatsApp, Instagram, Facebook and text don't need one. If you want a website we build those too, but it isn't a requirement.

  • Will it work on my website?

Almost certainly. It's a small piece of code that goes on any platform.

  • Will it slow my site down?

No. We add it so it loads after your page, not before it.

  • Does it work on phones?

Yes. Most of your traffic is on a phone, so it's built for that first.

  • Can customers send photos?

Yes. It can look at a photo, such as a damaged part, an error message or a product they're asking about, and act on what it sees.

  • Will I know what was said?

Yes. You get a written summary of each conversation: who it was, what they wanted and what happened. There's nothing to log into.

  • What if someone needs a person?

It hands them over to you, or takes a message with the details if nobody's around.

  • What if it says something wrong?

Tell us and we fix it straight away. It only answers from what you gave it, so the worst case is usually an incomplete answer rather than a wrong one.

  • Can it talk to people in Spanish?

Yes. It replies in English or Spanish, whichever they wrote in.

  • Do I need call answering too?

No, it works on its own. If you have both they share one set of answers, which is cheaper and means they can never contradict each other.

Google Profile & Reviews

11 questions
11 questions
  • Will I come up higher on Google?

We can't promise that, and neither can anyone else. We improve what we can control and tell you honestly what moved.

  • Do you write or buy reviews?

Never. Only real customers, after real work.

  • How do you actually get people to leave reviews?

A request that goes out at the right moment, in your words, as close to one tap as possible. The timing is most of it: the same ask a week later works a fraction as well.

  • What do you do about a bad review?

We answer it calmly, publicly and quickly, and we never argue.

  • Can you get a bad review removed?

Only if it breaks Google's rules: fake, off-topic, abusive, or from a competitor. A genuine unhappy customer can't be removed, and shouldn't be, so we answer those instead.

  • Do I still own my listing?

Always. We work on it as a manager. You own it, and you keep it if you leave.

  • How long before anything changes?

Most of the listing is fixed in week one. Reviews build up over months, not days, and anyone promising a timeline on where you rank is guessing.

  • Will you post things I wouldn't want posted?

No. Tell us what's off-limits at the start, and you see everything we publish.

  • What if my listing is suspended?

Tell us before you sign up. Getting it back is a different job with a different chance of working, and we'll tell you honestly what we think.

  • Can you handle the messages people send through Google?

Google stopped doing messaging and call history through listings. Anyone still selling you those is reading from an old brochure.

  • Do I need your other services?

No, this works on its own. It goes well with call answering for an obvious reason: a listing that works makes the phone ring, and that phone needs answering.

Website Development

6 questions
6 questions
  • How long does a website take?

It depends on how many pages there are and how fast the words get approved. Approving words is almost always the slow part, not the building.

  • Do I own it?

Completely: the code, the domain, the hosting account, all of it.

  • Can you work with my existing site?

Often yes, and often it's the better answer. We'll tell you honestly which is cheaper for the same result.

  • Can you write the words?

Yes, and that's included, not a surcharge.

  • Will it hurt my Google rankings?

Not if it's done properly. Redirecting every old page is part of the job, not an extra.

  • Do I have to keep paying after it's live?

No. Upkeep is optional and separate.

Website Maintenance

5 questions
5 questions
  • Do I need this?

If your website brings you work, something breaking quietly costs more than the monthly fee. If it's a brochure nobody visits, probably not, and we'll say so.

  • Can you look after a site you didn't build?

Usually. We'll check it first and tell you if it's in a state we can support.

  • How fast are changes?

Within the turnaround we agree at the start, based on what you actually need.

  • What if something breaks at 2am?

We're alerted and we fix it as fast as we can. We won't pretend there's someone sitting up all night; small companies who promise that are guessing.

  • Do you host it?

It stays in your own hosting account. We work in it, but we don't hold it.

Social Media

6 questions
6 questions
  • Which platforms?

The ones your customers actually use. For most businesses that's one or two done properly rather than five done badly.

  • Will this bring me customers?

It supports the decision, but it rarely starts it, and it won't make the phone ring on its own. If you want more people calling, fix your Google listing and your phone first.

  • Do I have to be in the photos?

No, though businesses where the owner shows up usually do better. We work with what you're comfortable with.

  • What if I've got nothing to post about?

You have. It's the work you do every day, which is invisible to you and interesting to everyone else, and part of the job is spotting it.

  • Who answers comments?

We do, in your words. Anything needing a real answer comes to you.

  • Can I approve posts first?

Yes, if you want. Most people stop wanting to after the first month.

Custom Automation

5 questions
5 questions
  • What can you connect?

Most things. Tell us what you use and we'll give you a straight answer.

  • Why charge to scope it?

Because doing it properly takes a day or two of real work. The first conversation is free, and if it's obvious it isn't worth automating we'll say so there and it's cost you nothing. The $500 comes off the build if you go ahead.

  • Is it monthly or one-off?

It depends. Some builds are a project and then they just run, and some need watching and adjusting. We'll tell you which before you commit.

  • What if something we rely on changes?

Things break eventually. On a monthly arrangement we fix it; if it was a one-off project, we quote the fix.

  • Do I own the automation?

Yes. It runs in your accounts and you can take it elsewhere.

Still deciding?

The call is free and there is no obligation at the end of it. If this is not right for your business, we will say so.
